The Greenlees Sweet Shop

  • Great-Great-Grand Aunt Alice standing outside her own sweet shop in Todmorden, Yorkshire. A confectioner by trade. We would like to think this is where our sweet tooth comes from
  • Coincidently our other Great-Grand Aunt Alice’s inheritence, gifted the AGA we roast our beans in today

Lockdown Experiments

  • As lockdown boredom set in, we dreamed of creating our own vegan chocolate
  • Searching online for all the kit and ingredients, to keep us entertained and our sweet tooth satisfied
  • It soon became clear our chocolate fascination was destined for bigger things, and then we started experimenting with flavours and techniques

  • Creating in the kitchen,  just wasn’t going to do. So we set out our plan to build a workshop in the garden

  • This eco garden workshop is fully insulated and temperature controlled for the highest quality chocolate
  • Once the beans have been roasted, everything else happens right here – learn more about our bean to bar process
